Description :

The badminton shuttlecock has been used for thousands of years. Everyday badminton players use plastic shuttlecocks, while serious players use feathered ones. Feathers must be a specific size and have a precise angle to them. If a machine with 26 sensors can't measure the exact degree of the feather, workers must manually do so with a specially calibrated chart. The process has many steps from then on, all taking into consideration feathers' angle and the shuttlecocks overall balance.Watch full episodes of the Science Channel series "How It's Made" on the Science GO app or at: http://insder.co/HowItsMadeDESIGN INSIDER believes in the innovation of all things design: architecture, home, products, and more.Subscribe to our channel: http://insder.co/Design and visit us at: https://thisisinsider.comDESIGN INSIDER on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/designinsiderDESIGN INSIDER on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/thisisinsiderdesign/INSIDER on Twitter: https://twitter.com/thisisinsiderProduced by: Medha Imam, Laura Bilash
