Two blocks are connected by a light cord over a frictionless pulley. The 14.0 kg block sits on a plane inclined at an angle of 50.0° with the horizontal. The block having mass M = 8.00 kg hangs off the side of the plane as shown. Determine the magnitude of the acceleration of the system (and give its direction) and the tension in the cord if the incline and block surfaces have the following coefficients of friction: µs = 0.210 and µk = 0.190.
